The Animation Panel

This panel controls how Incendia renders animations. Its only visible on Incendia EX

The Animation Preview option

PreviewAnimations.png

This control enables animations on the fast preview window. If you disable the animation, it will return to the original camera and baseshape positions.

Animation Parameters

Render Parameters

This control has three options:

  • Start Frame, This defines the starting animation frame to be rendered (frames starts with 0 ).
  • Number of Frames, the actual amount of frames that will be rendered, starting from the Start Frame value.
  • Frame Iterations, The actual iteration count for each frame, simple fractal can use 2 or 3, but complex ones can use 7 or 8, for example.

Image Type

Image Type.png

This control let you define the animation output image format, it can be:

  • Windows Bitmap (BMP).
  • Portable Network Graphics (PNG).

Animation Output Filename

This button let you change the animation filename. You don't need to specify the file type or the number, since both are appended to the filename. The selected filename is show over the button.

Render Animation Button

This button starts the actual animation render. Once the render is started, the button dissapears and reapears only the the animation render is concluded. The working frame number is show while the render process is started.

Fractal Rotation Controls

Rotation Pivot Trackball

Rotation Pivot.png

This trackball let you define the direction of the rotation pole.

Fixed Axis Control

Rotation Fixed Axis.png

This control let you select predefined rotation angles. The options are:

  • +X, The rotation pole aligns with the positive X Axis.
  • +Y, The rotation pole aligns with the positive Y Axis.
  • +Z, The rotation pole aligns with the positive Z Axis.
  • -X, The rotation pole aligns with the negative X Axis, the rotation direction is reversed.
  • -Y, The rotation pole aligns with the negative Y Axis, the rotation direction is reversed.
  • -Z, The rotation pole aligns with the negative Z Axis, the rotation direction is reversed.
  • +A, The rotation pole aligns with the camera positive Y Axis. Use it for spin an already rotated scene.
  • -A, The rotation pole aligns with the camera negative Y Axis, the rotation direction is reversed. Use it for spining an already rotated scene.

Number of Frames for a full cycle

Camera Frames Cycles.png

This control let you define how many frames are used for a full rotation. In this way, the rotation angle is defined. For example, the the control is set to 36, a full camera rotation will take 36 frames. In this case, every frame is rotated 10 degrees, since 360 degrees / 36 equals 10.
